The UMMI Story
UMMI was founded upon the principle of “Seafarers First.”
On March 29, 2009, Capt. Victor M. Villanueva registered UMMI with SEC. UMMI received its license to operate on June 22, 2009. On the same day, UMMI had its first vessel accredited and enrolled and deployed our first batch of crews.
Starting only with 1 vessel and 21 crew members, UMMI is now managing 661 seafarers and partnering with 5 principals under the expert management of Chairman Yuji Hoshiba.

Starting with just two good friends who wished to establish a company of their own, we have come a long way since then.
UMMI Team is composed of well experienced Managers with commendable experiences as top officers onboard for many years and enthusiastic young professionals with the same goal of fulfilling the work values while giving quality service to Principals, Crew and their families.
